BOYS BASKETBALL: Caledonia won its two games in the East Sub-section 1AA boys basketball tournament.

On February 24, they won 76-47 over Wabasha-Kellogg in Winona. Then on February 28, they defeated St. Charles 52-31.

The boys will play in the sub-section finals on Friday, March 4 at 8:30 p.m. against Chatfield.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: The Caledonia Warriors extended their girlsí basketball season into the semi-final game of the sub-section 1AA East tournament, the farthest the team has gone in seven years.

Putting an end to Caledoniaís stellar year was Winona Cotter, who defeated the Warriors twice earlier this year.

GYMNASTICS: The Section 1A gymnastics meet in New Prague became an emotional experience for the Caledonia/Spring Grove gymnastics team on February 18.

But despite a number of setbacks and disappointments, the girls rallied to show support, determination, and true team spirit.

WRESTLING: Caledonia/Houston/Spring Groveís Collin Pitts took second place at the Minnesota state class 2A wrestling tournament at 103 pounds in St. Paul last weekend.

Three other Warrior wrestlers, junior Alex Burg at 125, sophomore Avery Becker at 135, and junior Karl Klug at 215, did not place.

Pitts, the top ranked wrestler at the weight, met second-ranked Cody Adams of Mankato East in the finals and lost 5-3.
