Veteranís Day program inspiring;
students were respectful
To the Editor:
On November 11 I attended the Veteranís Day program at the Caledonia High School. It was well-prepared and very inspiring! I thought the men in the color guard exemplified their dedication and honor of our country.
Ron Levendoski had an exciting and well-prepared message. Iím sure he put many hours into it. It brought back many memories of my time in the service. Many of the lost and wounded are statistics hard to fathom. Thank you Ron for your expertise in this message!
During Ronís talk, I was so proud of the students. There was no talking, horseplay, giggling or boredom! They were totally focused on the speaker and the events that were celebrated to honor the day. The class leaders, quartet, chair and band were just great!! At one time Ron turned to the student body on stage saying, ěThese young people are our future.î From what I witnessed that day, I will say it will be a good future! Iím thankful for this group of young people. Iím proud of them, proud of our country, and proud to be a veteran.
