Wynn faces terroristic threat charges

Jeffrey Scott Wynn, 55, Victoria, MN, was charged on October 25 in Third District Court with two felony counts of terroristic threats.

Wynn, who formerly lived in Caledonia, is accused of making threats to his former wife and another man from July 11-October 4. According to the criminal complaint, the threats included statements that he would kill his ex-wife and get rid of or injure the man, who his ex-wife married on October 29.

Wynn told Caledonia Police Chief Randy Shefelbine in an August 26 telephone conversation that the man ìwould be spending the rest of his life in a hospital,î the report states.

He told Shefelbine on October 4, ìI might let them get married, I donít know.î

Judge James Fabian set Wynnís bail at $15,000 conditional and $30,000 unconditional. Wynn posted bail on October 25. His next court appearance is November 7 at 10 a.m. One of the conditions states that he cannot be within one mile of his ex-wifeís residence.

The crime of Terrorist Threats Severity Level IV carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in jail and/or a $10,000 fine.

Samuel Jandt of La Crescent was appointed Wynnís public defender.

Victoria is west of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.

Theft charges

In other court news, Jacob Daniel Klinski, 24, Caledonia, was charged with felony theft on October 25.

Klinski is accused of stealing money from Good Times Restaurant and Bar in Caledonia from April 24-October 24.

Klinski admitted to investigators that he took at least $500 and possibly more. The restaurant owner said the loss exceeded $1,000, according to police.

Klinski was observed on a surveillance camera taking three marked $20 bills from an area where money is kept at the restaurant, where Klinski was an employee, the criminal complaint states. Police officers found the marked bills in his shoe, according to the complaint.

Klinski will appear in court next on November 7 at 10 a.m. He was released by Judge James Fabian on his own recognizance.

Felony Theft Severity Level II carries a maximum penalty of five years in jail and/or a $10,000 fine.

Drug, burglary suspect

to hire own hire attorney

Joseph Wayne Bingenheimer, 23, Eitzen, made a request to hire his own attorney at an October 26 court hearing.

Bingenheimer was charged on October 17 with burglary and manufacturing methamphetamine.

Numerous items were recovered at his home at 321 Iowa Avenue in Eitzen following a search on October 14. Deputies found chainsaws, tools, watches, etc. Also discovered during the course of the investigation were precursors and remnants of a methamphetamine.

Bingenheimer was released from jail on $5,000 conditional bail on October 24. Judge Fabian set Bingenheimerís next court appearance for November 9 at 9 a.m.
