Bostone trial set for November 28

The trial date for Enrico ìA.J.î Bostone has been set for November 28 at 9 a.m.

Bostone, 18, faces two counts of criminal sexual conduct for allegedly molesting a boy on two occasions in June of 2005. The boy was 12 the first time and 13 the second time, according to the criminal complaint.

Bostone, who was charged on October 6, is presently in the Houston County Jail in Caledonia. His bail is $86,000 conditional and $43,000 unconditional.

Utke sentenced

In other court news, Terry Joseph Utke, 52, New Albin, Iowa, pled guilty on November 7 to violation of a harassment restraining order, a gross misdemeanor.

Another charge against Utke of making terroristic threats, a felony, was dropped in the plea agreement.

Judge James Fabian fined Utke $500 and gave him 60 days in jail. The judge stayed $300 of the fine and the 60 days in jail, meaning that Utke will not have to go to jail. The judge ordered unsupervised probation of two years, stating that Utke must stay law-abiding with no same or similar offense, and no contact with the victim.

On May 9, Utke allegedly confronted a man who was reading an electrical meter on property which adjoins Utkeís in Crooked Creek Township. The man, who had a restraining order on Utke, told authorities that he was afraid that Utke was going to kill him.

Stolen property case moving forward

An omnibus hearing for Janse Randall Bjergum, 24, of Spring Grove has been set for January 4, 2006, at 1:30 p.m.

Bjergum was charged on November 3 with two felony counts of receiving stolen property. Authorities recovered stolen property from various burglaries and thefts at his house at 128 First Street Southwest in Spring Grove

Richard Allen Dent, 40, Caledonia, also faces two felony counts of receiving stolen property in the case. His omnibus hearing will be on December 2 at 1 p.m. He is currently in the Houston County Jail on $10,000 conditional bond.

Charges of methamphatamine possession and receiving stolen property were also filed on November 1 against Robert Dean Ellis, 49, Mabel.

Deputies recovered stolen property from recent burglaries that occurred in all three counties. Tools, guns, food, and hunting and trapping equipment were confiscated.

Other search warrants of houses thought to be connected with the burglaries were executed in Mabel and Harpers Ferry, IA.

Marijuana case hearings scheduled

The omnibus hearing date for Mark Casey Richmond, 37, of Houston, is set for December 14 at 10:15 a.m.

Richmond and Patrick Daniel Dingley, 37, of Rochester are charged in a marijuana-growing case in Houston County. Dingley will appear on December 5.

They were charged September 15 with four counts of third degree conspiracy to manufacture drugs on September 15. They are accused of growing 286 marijuana plants in three different groves on U.S. Fish and Wildlife land and the Gillette property near the Root River in rural Hokah Township.

Dingley and Richmond are both free on bail.

Burglary, meth lab suspect to appear

Joseph Wayne Bingenheimer, 23, Eitzen, will have an omnibus hearing on January 18, 2006, at 10 a.m.

Bingenheimer was charged with burglary in the third degree and first degree attempted manufacture of methamphetamine following a search at his home 321 Iowa Avenue on October 14.

Numerous items were recovered such as chainsaws, tools, watches, etc. Also discovered during the course of the investigation was precursors and remnants of a methamphetamine.

Bingenheimer is out of jail on bail.

Wynn pleads not guilty

Jeffrey Scott Wynn, 55, Victoria, MN, pled not guilty on November 7 to two felony counts of terroristic threats. was charged on October 25 in Third District Court with two felony counts of terroristic threats.

Wynn, who formerly lived in Caledonia, was charged on October 25 with making threats to his former wife and another man from July 11-October 4. According to the criminal complaint, the threats included statements that he would kill his ex-wife and get rid of or injure the man.

No trial date had been set as of November 21.

Hearing set for Klinski

Jacob Daniel Klinski, 24, Caledonia, will have an omnibus hearing on December 14 at 11 a.m.

Klinski was charged with felony theft on October 25. He is accused of stealing money from Good Times Restaurant and Bar where he was employed in Caledonia from April 24-October 24.

Klinski admitted to investigators that he took at least $500 and possibly more. The restaurant owner said the loss exceeded $1,000.

Caledonia Police Department news

ï The incidents reports of the Caledonia Police Department reported that two counterfeit $20 bills were reported by the Kwik Trip in Caledonia. It is unknown who or when the bills were passed.
