Lloyd M. Jennings
Lloyd M. Jennings, 90 of Caledonia, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at Caledonia Care and Rehab in Caledonia, MN. He was born October 28, 1915 in Caledonia to James and Catherine (Jennings) Jennings. He married Wilma Ernster February 21, 1944 at the Cathedral of Sacred Heart, Winona. Msgr. Robert E. Jennings officiated at the wedding. Wilma preceded him in death May 9, 2001.
Lloyd and Wilma farmed and raised their family in Mayville Township until they moved to Caledonia in 1995. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Maryís Parish, Caledonia. Lloyd was active on the Mayville Township Board for 45 years.
Lloyd is survived by three sons, Father Thomas Jennings of Luverne, MN, David (Kathy) Jennings and Jim (Pat) Jennings, both of Caledonia, 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, a brother Eugene (Pat) Jennings of Meza, AZ. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a grandson Danny Jennings, a sister and 5 brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 11, at 10:30 am at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Thomas Jennings will officiate and Father Gregory Leif and Msgr. Donald P. Schmitz will concelebrate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Thursday at McCormick Funeral Home where a rosary led by the Knights of Columbus will be said at 6:30 and a prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church Friday. Memorials are preferred to St. Maryís School, Caledonia.
