BOYS SOCCER: Caledonia won the battle of top boys soccer goalies with a 1-0 win over La Crescent on September 8.
It followed a 0-0 tie between Caledonia and La Crosse Aquinas two days earlier. Both games were away.
FOOTBALL: The biggest football game of the young Caledonia High School football season will take place this Friday when the Warriors host Plainview/Elgin-Millville at 7 p.m.
The Gophers have a 2-0 record. They beat Kingsland in overtime in the season opener, then topped Chatfield 21-6 last Friday.
Caledonia coasted to a 41-14 victory at St. Charles last Friday to lift its record to 2-0 also.
VOLLEYBALL: Warrior volleyball has shown great gains in technique and composure in this, the second week of the season. After an unsatisfying start, Caledonia came up with a great win to finish out the week.
GIRLS SOCCER: The girls soccer team played four games in a weekís time and ended with an even split of wins versus losses.
