Klinski sentenced in burglary case
Jacob Daniel Klinski, 24, Caledonia, was sentenced on April 5 for a burglary that he committed last year in Caledonia.
Klinski pled guilty to felony theft on February 2 in Third District Court. He stole money from Good Times Restaurant and Bar, where he was employed in Caledonia from April 24-October 24, 2005.
Judge James Fabian issued a stay of imposition, meaning that Klinski will not serve prison time for the felony.
There were many conditions with the sentence. Klinski has the option of serving 15 days in jail or 160 hours of community work service. Klinski has chosen the latter. He must also serve five years of probation and pay $1,258 of restitution to Good Times.
Other conditions include: abstain from drugs and alcohol; undergo random drug testing; maintain employment, excluding jobs in which he handles money; have no contact with Good Times; and write a letter of apology to the owner.
He currently lives in Lyons County, Minnesota, and must contact the human services department there and follow its directives.
Danielson in court April 12
Elizabeth Ann Danielson, Caledonia, will be arraigned on theft and burglary charges on April 12, which is her 48th birthday.
Danielson and Darrell Edward OíBrien, 18, of Caledonia, face charges of burglary in the second degree, burglary in the third degree, felony theft, and misdemeanor theft. OíBrien, who was charged on March 6, is currently in the Goodhue County Jail. Bail has been set at $40,000 unconditional and $20,000 conditional.
According to the criminal complaint, Danielson accompanied OíBrien to the home, with him driving her Chevy Blazer. He allegedly entered the house and stole a container of pennies and a jewelry box containing rings, watches, and other items valued at $1,000.
Before they re-entered the city of Caledonia, OíBrien asked Danielson to drive the car, since he had no drivers license, so she did that, the complaint states.
A tip to the sheriffís department alerted authorities to question Danielsen. She told them details of the crime, the complaints says. Tread marks at the scene of the crime also matched the tread on her tires, the complaint says.
Felony charges are also pending against OíBrien in La Crosse Wisconsin for a bomb scare and disorderly conduct. His trial there had been set for March 29, but has been continued to July 12.
