Ivan Krugmire
Ivan L. Krugmire, 89, of Sheldon, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Schechís Mill in Sheldon.
He was born December 12, 1916, in La Crescent to Ernest and Regina (Isaackson) Krugmire. Ivan attended La Crescent Schools and graduated from Central High School in La Crosse.
On June 26, 1940, he married Eleanor Schech. The couple lived in La Crosse while Ivan worked at Trane Co., and in 1946 moved to Eleanorís family farm, Schechís Mill, in Sheldon. He farmed and was proprietor of the mill until his death.
Ivan was a 50+year member of the Masonic Fraternity and held memberships at La Crescent Lodge, Mystic Circle Lodge of Houston, and Mystic Star Lodge #69 of Rushford. He was a member of the Presbyterian Churches of Houston and Rushford.
Ivan is survived by daughter Elaine (Jim) Krugmire-Tighe of St. James, MN; and a son, Edward (Jonie) Krugmire; one granddaughter; a niece and a nephew and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor, on March 11, 2006; and a brother, Harold.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2006, at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church, Caledonia. Rev. Susan Li will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home Friday, April 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Friends may also call at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Mayo Clinic Heart Center.
