Borghild Onsgard
Borghild Ovida Onsgard, 84, of Spring Grove, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Center, La Crosse.
She was born May 29, 1922, to Otto and Bella (Gaustad) Onstad.
She was a 1940 graduate of Spring Grove High School and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in home economics. She taught in Shakopee for two years.
On August 31, 1947, Borghild married Hollis Onsgard. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1999.
The couple operated the family farm and Onsgard Grocery Store.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its womenís groups and was also a member of the Spring Grove American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Mark Kelly Onsgard, and a daughter, Brenda Marie Onsgard, both of Spring Grove, two grandsons; a brother, Carlton (Beulah) Onsgard of Spring Grove and a sister, Augusta (Al) Kunst of Clear Lake, IA.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring Grove. Pastor Zane Anderson will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Private family burial of the cremains will be held at a later date.
Roble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
