Sagebrush sold; local impact unknown
Sagebrush Corporation announced the sale of its library automation business to Follett Software Company on July 27.
Sagebrush has an office in Caledonia, as well as Topeka, Kansas; Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and its corporate headquarters in Minneapolis. The Sagebrush library automation business, under the new Follett leadership, will initially continue to operate under the Sagebrush name.
Sagebrush Books, Sagebrush Library Services, and Sagebrush Viewpoint will continue as a new separate company. This new company will be led by Bob Hebrink as CEO and Margo Osadchuk as Senior Vice President. Jim Zicarelli, former CEO of Sagebrush Corporation will continue with the new company as a member of its Board of Directors.
Sagebrush Books, Sagebrush Library Services and Sagebrush Viewpoint was to hold a teleconference to announce their new collective company and to discuss the future direction of the three divisions on August 1 at 11 a.m.
The Caledonia office did not release any information about the sale or the future of the Caledonia branch.
Sagebrush came to Caledonia in January 2000 when it purchased Winnebago Software.
