Gladys Deters
Gladys A. Deters, 96, formerly of Eitzen, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at Caledonia Care and Rehab.
She was born April 26, 1910 in Manchester, Iowa, to George and Alba (Milligan) Glissendorf. On August 14, 1934, Gladys married Edgar Deters in Hokah. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1996.
Gladys was a member of St. Lukeís United Church of Christ in Eitzen where she was active in the Womenís Fellowship organizations.
Survivors include one daughter, Audrey Eiken of Hartland, WI; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren;Ýone sister, LoisÝDavy of Brownsville; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Gordon Eiken; two sisters, Verona in infancy and Francis Guenther; Ýand one brother, Dale Glissendorf.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 25, 2006, at 2 p.m.. at St. Lukeís United Church of Christ, Eitzen. Rev. Kent A. Meyer, and Rev. Debra A. Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, is in charge of arrangements.
