Robert Corey
Robert E. Corey, 93, of Houston, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Houston.
Robert was born on September 30, 1913, in Winona County, MN to Lee and Patrina (Olson) Corey. He was raised in Winona County. On May 13, 1942, he married Evelyn Johnson. Robert farmed at Looney Valley and Fort Ridgely areas in rural Houston. He was an active member of the Looney Valley Lutheran Church.
He is survived by one son: Darrell (Janine) Corey of Dakota; one daughter: Dr. Sandra Enger of Huntsville, AL; and five grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers, and one sister.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, at Looney Valley Lutheran Church in rural Houston with the Rev. Jeff Forbes officiating. Burial will be in the Money Creek Cemetery in Money Creek. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Houston Chapel, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
The family prefers memorials to be directed to the Looney Valley Lutheran Church.
