GYMNASTICS: The Caledonia/Spring Grove gymnastics team faced tough competition in its triangular meet against Onalaska and La Crescent on February 9.
Coach Kim Klopfer said the girlsí score of 124.225 was better than average for them, which is encouraging going into section tournaments. Onalaska scored 133.625 and La Crescent scored 130.750.
Karly Misch was top scorer for C/SG in two events. On the beam, she scored 7.8 for fifth place, and she scored 8.325 in the floor routine, also for fifth place.

WRESTLING: Three meets and 22 years.
Thatís what is separating Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston from a trip to the team state wrestling tournament.
The Warriors may have the best chance to make that prestigious journey since 1984. They won the section title that year and finished second in the Class A tournament. The team hasnít been back to state since.
Semi-finals and finals are Saturday at 3 and 5 p.m. at Rochester Mayo Civic Center.
The Warriors ended their regular season on February 9 with a 41-19 Parents Night victory over Decorah.
