Marcella Keefe
Marcella B. Keefe, 93, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis.
Marcella was born May 24, 1912, on Oak Ridge, Houston County, Minn., to Helmer and Mary (Halvorson) Loken. She married William Keefe on June 2, 1945, in Houston, Minn. He later preceded her in death.
Marcella was a school teacher in Houston County for 43 years. She was an active member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Houston and an avid volunteer for senior citizens.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mary (John) Rucastle and Anne Loken; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded death by her parents, husband, Bill, and four brothers, Henry, Tilbert, Alvin and Harris and sister, Mabel.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial will be in Stone Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Hoff Funeral Home-Houston Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church Tuesday.
