Peter Colsch
Peter Colsch, 92, of New Albin, IA, died February 25, 2006 at Thornton Manor in Lansing, IA.
He was born on April 3, 1913 in Iowa Township of Allamakee County to Leo H. and Ellen (Luth) Colsch. He married Anna Frances Mettille on April 25, 1933 at St. Josephís Church in New Albin. She preceded him in death on December 25, 1995.
Peter farmed south of New Albin for most of his life, also for some years he was a carpenter and mechanic.
Survivors include four sons, Cecil (Bette) Colsch of Woodstown, NJ, Gary (Patricia) Colsch of Shalimar, FL, Gerald (Myrna) Colsch of La Crosse, WI, and John Colsch of New Albin, IA; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Mary Mackin of Osage, IA, and Ellen (Emerson) Anderson of Mason City, IA.
Peter was preceded in death by his wife Ann, two grandsons, two brothers John and Albert Colsch, a sister Cecelia Brahney, and a daughter-in-law Mrs. John (Cindy) Colsch.
Services will be be held at a later date. The Thornburg Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing is assisting the family.
