BOYS BASKETBALL: They werenít easy, but Caledonia won two more boys basketball games last week.
The Warriors came back to beat Rushford-Peterson 56-44 at home on January 31, then traveled to Adams on February 2 and beat Southland 47-45.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: The Warriors girlsí basketball team showed mastery on the floor this past week with two more wins.
They defeated the Rushford-Peterson Trojans 55-33 in a rough game in Rushford Tuesday, January 31 55-33. Thursday, February 2 saw Caledonia at home against Southland in a blow-out of the Rebels, 77-23. After the game hometown fans berated Fr. Gregory Leif for sitting on the visitorsí side with members from his former parish. His reply was, ìThey needed the consolation.î
The Warriorsí season record moves to 17-4 and 13-2 in the conference.

GYMNASTICS: The Caledonia/Spring Grove gymnasts rose to the occasion and pulled off a victory over Wabasha-Kellogg on January 31.
ìThe girls did really well and had a fun time doing it,î said coach Kim Klopfer. It is wonderful to see the girls continue to improve. The best part of the meet was watching the parents and seeing how proud they looked as they watched their daughters compete.î
The final score was 122.9 to 106.325.

WRESTLING: It was as good as wrestling can get, and it may get even better.
Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston beat Grand Meadow/LeRoy-Ostrander/Kingsland (GMLOK) 30-26 in an intense and important meet on February 3.
The two teams are likely headed for another showdown in the semi-finals of the Section 1AA tournament in Rochester on February 18.
Earlier in the week, Caledonia beat DeSoto, Wisconsin, 65-18 on January 30 in Houston. They split two meets at Rochester Century the next night, losing to 37-14, then beat Century 43-19.
