BOYS BASKETBALL: Josh Diersen called it a week of terribly cold shooting for his Caledonia boys basketball team.
Yet the Warriors (11-3) emerged with two more wins last week. They beat Wabasha-Kellogg 52-40 on January 17 at home, then won in overtime at Goodhue three nights later, 63-61.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: The Caledonia girlsí basketball team has continued their winning ways with three more wins this past week. The girls have won the last 11 games, putting their record at 14-3 overall, 10-1 in the conference.
The Warriors beat Houston 79-16 on January 16 at home, beat Wabasha-Kellogg 50-37 January 17 on the road, then beat Goodhue 60-41 at home on January 20.

GYMNASTICS: It may have been recorded as a loss, but the Caledonia /Spring Grove gymnastics meet against Onalaska January 19 was a good one for the team.
ìWe has an amazing meet,î said head coach Kim Klopfer. ìThe girls had their performances of the season. Although we lost, we had a season high of 126.225. Onalaska/ La Crosse had 136.825.
At home against Byron on January 17, the girls were outscored 127.8 to 119.45.

WRESTLING: Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston had two easy wrestling victories in a triangular last Friday at Lewiston.
The Warriors first beat Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson (L-A/R-P) 57-15, then they trounced Lake City 51-10.
