Arlene Schuttemeier
Arlene Virginia Schuttemeier, 82, of Spring Grove died on Friday, January 6, 2006 at her home.
Arlene was born on March 2, 1923, in Houston County, Minnesota to Helmer and Belinda (Rauk) Gulbranson. She was a life long resident of the Spring Grove area. Arlene attended country school and graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1941.
On June 20, 1946 Arlene married William (Bill) Schuttemeier at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. Bill passed away on May 13, 2004. The couple was married for 57 years.
Arlene is survived by five daughters and son-in-laws, Pearl (Al) Kochenderfer, Linda (Rolf) Hanson, Joanne (Gary) Melbostad, Audrey (Jim) Onstad, and Connie (Rudy) Simon. She had 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is survived by her brother, Nels (Helen) Gulbranson, of Spring Grove.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and brothers Norvin, Julius, Harold and Myron.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. Pastor Zane Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove and one hour prior to services at the church Tuesday.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to the Trinity Radio Broadcast program, the Spring Grove Public Library, or the SEMCAC Meals on Wheels program.
