Carl H. Bubbers
Carl H. Bubbers, 83, of Caledonia, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Caledonia Care and Rehab.
He was born November 9, 1922, in Caledonia to Fred and Caroline (Michelsen) Bubbers. On March 28, 1944, Carl married Lucille Lommen in La Crescent, and she preceded him in death on October 20, 2000. Carl was employed with Trane Company in La Crosse for 32 years retiring in 1984. He also enjoyed doing carpentry work and woodworking.
Survivors include two sons, Robert (Kathy) Bubbers of Rock Falls, IL, and Charles (Mae) Bubbers of La Crescent; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, William (Gena) Bubbers of Caledonia; one niece; and several nephews.
In addition to his wife, Carl was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Peter, Ness, and Fred Bubbers.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 1 p.m. at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church, Caledonia. Rev. Tom Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, on Monday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from noon until the time of service. Memorials are preferred to Caledonia Care and Rehab or St. Johnís Lutheran School.
