Darla Jean Theobald
Darla Jean Theobald, 45 of Caledonia, died Friday, June 16, 2006 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born November 24, 1960 in Caledonia to Merle and Marie (Manhart) Steele. She married Steven Theobald October 22, 1988 at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Darla enjoyed collecting angels and trinkets and gardening. She also loved family gatherings.
She is survived by her husband Steven, her sisters and brothers, Cindy (Randy) Shefelbine, Kelli Lager, Dan (Brenda) Steele and Terry (Wanda) Steele all of Caledonia; 13 nieces and 10 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, Sylvester Theobald and brother-in-law, Dan Lager.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia where a rosary will be said at 5:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church Monday.
