Caledonia man hurt in accident
Mitchell Luttchens, 22, of Caledonia was seriously injured in a one vehicle accident on June 23.
It occurred just before 2:30 a.m. that Friday morning, about three miles north of Eitzen on Highway 76.
Luttchens was traveling south in his 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT when he failed to negotiate a curve north of County Road 17. He ran off the road and rolled several times.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded, along with the Houston County Sheriffís Department, Caledonia Fire Department, and Caledonia Ambulance Service.
Firemen extricated Luttchens from the vehicle. He was then taken by MedLink helicopter to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.
He suffered an incapacitating injury, according to a state patrol report. Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center did not release information on his condition when contacted on June 26.
