Raymond G. McManimon
Raymond G. McManimon, 79, of Oak Ridge (rural Rushford) died Thursday, June 2, 2006, at his home.
He was born on April 7, 1927, in La Crosse, WI, to Raymond and Elizabeth (Schwartz) McManimon. Raymond was raised at Oak Ridge. He graduated from Rushford High School in 1945. He married Lydia ìBonnieî Bauer in Mondovi, WI, on September 25, 1951. He moved to Milwaukee, where he owned and operated a Shell service station. In 1958 Raymond moved back to Oak Ridge, where he has farmed ever since. He was a member of St. Maryís Catholic Church in Houston.
He is survived by his wife Lydia; four sons: Tim (Deb) of Owatonna, Tom (Cindy) of Chatfield, Dan (Tony Aguan) of Bloomington, and Dennis of Rushford; one daughter, Colleen (Mark) Holmberg of St. Paul; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David, one brother, Robert; and two sisters, Ruth and Mary.
Funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7, at St. Maryís Catholic Church in Houston with the Rev. William Kulas officiating. Burial will be in the St. Maryís Cemetery in Houston. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, at Hoff Funeral Homes ñ Houston Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
