Wallace Eiken
Wallace Eiken, 83, of Worcester, MA, and formerly of the rural Mabel and Spring Grove areas, died March 2, 2006 at Odd Fellows Home of Massachusetts, Worcester, MA.
He was born December 22, 1922 near Yucatan to Henry and Clarinda (Jensen) Eiken.
On July 8, 1948, he married Twilla Jean Baarsgard. He farmed and sold Christian literature in Fillmore County and surrounding areas. After retiring he lived near his daughter and son-in-law in both California and Massachusetts. He was a member of Shrewsbury Seventh-day Adventist Church, Shrewsbury, MA where a memorial service was held for him on March 11, 2006.
Survivors include his daughters, Valerie Jean (Frank) Ricks and Constance Fay Ludden; four grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Olson of Houston, and Thora Lou Doblar of Money Creek. In addition to his wife Twilla Jean, he was preceded in death by his brothers Talford, Joseph and Maynard.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 18, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in Peterson. Pastor Wade Davick and Pastor Frank Ricks will officiate. Interment of cremains will follow at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church Cemetery, Peterson. Roble Funeral Home of Spring Grove is in charge of arrangements.
