Arthur B. Pohlman

Arthur Bernhard Pohlman, 82, formerly of Caledonia, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Green Lea Manor Nursing Home, Mabel, after a long illness.

He was born January 28, 1924 on his home farm on Jefferson Ridge, Houston County, Minnesota, to George and Mary (Klinski) Pohlman.

On September 4, 1954, he was united in marriage with Marlyn Tietze at Asbury Methodist Church in La Crosse. Along with farming, Art was employed at Northern Engraving in Spring Grove. He was a member of St. Peterís Church in New Albin, where he served on the church council.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marlyn; a son, Jeffrey A.; and a daughter, Lisa H., all of Caledonia; a sister, Wilma Moe of Houston; sister-in-law Ruby Pohlman of Caledonia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Elmer.

Services will be Friday, March 24, at 12 noon, at St. Peterís Church, New Albin. Rev. William J. Reese, Ph.D will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peterís Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, is in charge of arrangements.
