Linda M. Spande
Linda M. Spande, 87, died Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Home in Albert Lea.
Linda was born October 3, 1918 in Caledonia, the daughter of Robert M. and Francis P. (Metcalf) Richards. She graduated from Caledonia High School in 1936.
On August 24, 1942 she was united in marriage to Earl A. Spande in Reno NV.
Linda lived most of her adult life in Mabel, and was a very active member of the First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed serving on the altar guild, teaching Sunday school and working with the church womenís group. For the past three years, Linda has been living closer to her family in Albert Lea.
Linda is survived by her husband Earl of Albert Lea, children; Richard (Beth) Spande of Albert Lea, Jane Spande and her husband David Field of Cedar Rapids, IA, David (Robin) Spande of Owatonna; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert (Bernice) Richards of Caledonia.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials are preferred to the Good Samaritan Home or Crossroads Community Hospice.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the Good Samaritan Chapel in Albert Lea. Pastor Kent Otterman will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. Interment will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, Mabel.
