Keith O. Roble

Keith O. Roble, 54, died suddenly at his home in New Sweden, Maine, on March 4, 2006.

He was born March 14, 1951 in Spring Grove, the son of Ernest and Signe (Roverud) Roble. He was baptized and confirmed at the Wilmington Lutheran Church. He graduated from Caledonia High School in 1969. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and worked as an Agricultural Engineer. He worked in various places in Minnesota before making his home in Maine. He presently worked at the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service based in Presque Isle.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Holmquist Roble; and a son Niklas H. Roble of New Sweden. He is also survived by his parents, Ernest and Signe Roble of Spring Grove, two sisters, Joyce (Steven) Bergrud of Spring Grove and Jennifer (Dean) Ellingson also of Spring Grove; a brother Craig (Linda) Roble of Eden Prairie, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a niece, Sara Bergrud, and a nephew, Joel Roble.

Friends and family may call on Friday, March 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home on 11 Clover Street in Caribou, Maine. A memorial service will be held at the Covenant Church in New Sweden on Saturday, March 11 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Shelly Timber officiating. Spring interment will be at the New Sweden Cemetery in New Sweden. Donations in Keithís memory may be made to either the Covenant Church of New Sweden or a special Conservation Education memorial through the Central Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District, 735 Main Street, Suite 3, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
