Adolph H. Olson

Adolph H. Olson, 83, of Caledonia, died Monday, May 15, 2006 at Caledonia Care and Rehab.

He was born May 22, 1922 in Crystal Valley, rural Houston, to Emil and Sophia (Jorgenson) Olson.

Adolph served overseas in the United States Army from 1944 until 1946. On May 28, 1946 he married Lucille Mickelson at the Lutheran Church in Houston. Together they farmed in Crystal Valley for 18 years until 1965 when they moved into Caledonia.

Adolph was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Caledonia and he had been a member of the Arnet Sheldon American Legion Post 423 of Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille of Caledonia; two sons, Leonard (Karyn) Olson of Houston, and Daryl Olson of Caledonia; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Malita Mickelson-Raymond of Onalaska, WI, and Ida Nelson of Houston, one brother-in-law, Harry (Mary Ann) Hall of Silver Bay, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Adolph was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Helen, LaVern, and Mabel.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 18, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Caledonia. Rev. Steven E. Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with military honors by the Houston American Legion Post 423. Friends may call at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, 518 W. Main St., Caledonia, on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
