Avis Williams
Avis B. Williams, 83, of Houston, died on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Valley View Nursing Home in Houston.
She was born on February 24, 1923, to Bert and Inga (Gustafson) Sweet in Houston, MN. She married Kenneth B. Williams on August 15, 1946.
She is survived by three daughters: Karyn (Leonard) Olson of Houston, Sherry (Dennis) Gertler of Winona, and Barbara (Robert) Borowiak of Houston; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild.
Avis was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, one brother Lyle, and her parents.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, at Hoff Funeral Homes - Houston Chapel with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial will be in the Stone Church Cemetery in Houston. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Houston Chapel.
