Ruth Doering
Ruth Louise Doering, 98, of Caledonia, died November 23, 2006 at Valley View Nursing Home in Houston, MN.
She was born October 28, 1908 in Crystal Valley to John R. and Caroline Wheaton. Ruth married Henry Doering on September 5, 1937. They farmed on Union Ridge until Henryís death in 1972. Ruth moved to Houston, and then to the Golden Age Estates in Caledonia, where she was an active volunteer.
Ruth is survived by her brothers John P. Wheaton of Sacramento, CA, Paul (Sharon) Wheaton of Houston, step-sisters Mildred Gaustad of Houston, and June Davies of Calgary, Canada; sister-in-law Cora Wheaton of Houston, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Arthur and Samuel, sister Olive Dye, step-mother Ella Wheaton, and step-sister Lylah Lehmann.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 27, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Caledonia. Rev. Steven E. Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 10-11 a.m., with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
