FOOTBALL: Caledonia had a tough football loss last week in Chatfield.
The Gophers used three big plays to pull off a 12-7 upset.

BOYS SOCCER: Caledonia High School is heading into the Section 1A boys soccer tournament on a roll.
The Warriors won three games last week: 4-0 over Plainview/Elgin-Millville (PEM) on October 2, 4-0 over Coulee Region Christian on October 3, and 2-1 over West Salem/Melrose-Mindoro on October 6.
CHS is seeded two in the tournament, behind Rochester Lourdes. The Warriors open at home on Saturday in Caledonia against the winner of the Byron-Stewartville. Game time hadnít been determined when this paper was prepared on October 9.

VOLLEYBALL: The Caledonia Warrior volleyball team played a grueling three matches in four days last week.
Caledonia 3, St. Charles 2
It took five games, but Caledonia came out victorious over St. Charles on Monday, October 2, 25-22, 19-25, 17-25, 25-22 and 15-7.
Caledonia 1, Kingsland 3
The cold score of the match doesnít convey the competitiveness and feistiness Caledonia displayed at Kingsland on Tuesday, October 3. Game scores were 28-26, 23-25, 24-26, and 25-27.
Caledonia 1, Lewiston 3
Caledoniaís rhythm seemed to be off a beat against Lewiston on Thursday, October 5. They lost 20-25, 17-25, 25-21, 24-26.

GIRLS SOCCER: CHS 7, St. Charles 0
The girls soccer team headed into its last week of the regular season with three wins under its belt from the previous week.
The girls played back to back games against St. Charles, with an away game on September 28 and a home game October 3. Both games were shut-outs.
CHS 1, K-M 0
A goal by Sarah Colleran late in the game against Kasson-Mantorville on October 7 gave Caledonia a narrow victory. Link said that the wind was a factor in that game.
