Thomas Stoltz

Thomas L. Stoltz, 55, of rural Caledonia, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 15, 2006, at his home.

Tom was born March 6, 1951 in Caledonia to Leo and Betty (Romie) Stoltz. He graduated from the Caledonia High School in 1969 and then served four years in the United States Navy. Most of that time he was stationed at Corpus Christi, Texas, and worked as an aircraft mechanic.

On November 9, 1973, he was united in marriage to Rosie M. Solis in Corpus Christi. They moved to the Caledonia area and began farming, and have resided on the family farm since 1988.

He was a member of the St. Maryís Catholic Church in Caledonia and enjoyed spending time with his family, biking, swimming, and occasionally going to the casino.

Tom is survived by his wife Rosie of Caledonia; three daughters Lori (Paul) Wohletz of Eagan; Theresa (Mike) Zieman of McHenry, IL; and Tamie Stoltz of Red Wing; one granddaughter; his parents, Leo and Betty Stoltz of Caledonia; 12 brothers and sisters: Gary (Linda) Stoltz, Chatfield; Dianne (Mark) Gerard, Spring Grove; Nancy (Mark) Bockenhauer, DePere, WI; Ken (Colleen) Stoltz, Stockton, MN; Shirley (Gary) Kruckow, Caledonia; Sandra (Gary) Klinski, Caledonia; Jim ìTubî Stoltz, Caledonia; Bill Stoltz, Madison, WI; Julie (Charles) Kruse, Eitzen; Barb (Tony) Madden, Woodbury, MN; Rick (Susie) Stoltz, Hastings, MN; and Jane (Doug) Schmitz, Rochester.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2006 at St. Maryís Catholic Church in Caledonia with Father Gregory Leif officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 ñ 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, at Holy Family Hall with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. McCormick Funeral Home in Caledonia is assisting with the arrangements.
