Stanley Rauk
Stanley V. Rauk, 70, died October 26, 2006, at Providence Alaska Medical Center of heart failure.
He was born December 4, 1935, in Spring Grove. He was a graduate of Spring Grove High School and Northrope School of Aviation. He served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot from 1954-1957. In 1959, he married Janice St. Mary of Caledonia. The couple moved to Alaska in 1961.
Stanley was employed by Era Helicopters, Alaska Helicopters, Wien Air Alaska for 21 years. He worked as a safety inspector for the FAA from 1986 to 2000.
He is survived by his wife of Anchorage; six children: Vickie (Floyd) Austin of Tacoma, WA; Scott of Nome, AK; Randy of Big Lake, AK; Kimberly (Doug) Jones of Anchorage; twin sons Terry of Missoula, MT and Todd of San Diego; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. November 2, 2006, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Anchorage. Father Luz Flores and Deacon Ken Donahue will officiate.
