Ursula Wright
Ursula W. Wright, 59, of Caledonia, died Thursday, İOctober 5, 2006 at her home from a brain tumor.
She was born April 21, 1947, in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, Germany. İShe was the oldest child of Willibald and Anna Buellesbach Kraus.İUrsula is a graduate of the Maedchen Realschule in Neumarkt and the Atlas School of Languages in Nuerenberg, Germany. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in German and French from Mankato State University and her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. On June 24, 1967, she married Kenneth Wright at St. Johannes Catholic Church in Neumarkt.
Ursula taught at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse; La Crosse Public Schools; and Caledonia Public Schools. She loved her hometown, her family, her faith, the mysteries of nature, the miracles of life. İShe was especially devoted to her grandchildren and they to her.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth of Caledonia; daughter, Sandra (Ryan) Motl of Nodine, MN; her grandchildren; her parents Willibald and Anna Kraus of Neumarkt; siblings Rainer Kraus and Annelie (Heinz) Straub, both of Nuerenberg, Germany, and Dorothea (Horst) Grammel of Neumarkt; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Joyce (Harold) Hicks of San Angelo, TX; Jerold (Shirley) Wright of Hutchinson, MN; Kathryn (Darwin) Clausen of La Crescent, MN; and Lee (Patricia) Wright of Hutchinson, as well as nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 8, at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Caledonia.
McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia is assisting the family with arrangements.
