Frank, Ely win sheriff's primary, Connery Steinfeldt commissioner
Ken Frank and Doug Ely were the top vote getters in the Houston County sheriff's primary on September 12. Frank received 1,409 and Ely 1,333. Brian Swedberg was third with 788 and Peggy Thorson fourth with 467. Frank and Ely will now face each other in the general election on November 7.
In the fourth district commissioners' race, Larry Connery came in first with 442 followed by Randy Steinfeldt with 202. They will be on the general election ballot. Tom Knutson was third with 166, followed by James A. Schultz with 127.
