8th grade football blanks Rushford 30-0

The 8th grade Warriors traveled to Rushford Monday night, September 18 to take on the Trojans. With some wind and a little rain, quarterback Josh Gran led the team to a 30-0 victory.
Josh was 8 of 14 passing, rushed twice for 11 yards and caught a 15 yard pass from running back Alex Diersen. Alex rushed 15 times for 98 yards with a touchdown and a 2 point conversion. Mitch Reiser had a great night with a 45 yard catch and two 2 point conversions. Lucas Lampert, the birthday boy, caught two passes for 32 yards, one being a touchdown. Ethan Lapham had one catch for 4 yards and did a great job blocking at tight end. Ivan Augedahl had a superior night with 26 yards receiving, 40 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. The receivers, Cody Colsch, Jack Thimmesch, Cody Grabhorn, Jim Costigan, Cole OíHeron, Abe Diersen, and Garret Mullen, also did a great job blocking.
The Warrior defense played their best game of the year holding the big green machine out of the end zone. The defense was led by Chris Dvorak with a ton of tackles, 3 for a loss, and a fumble recovery. Cole Macejik played tough getting 7 tackles and 2 assists. Josh Gran 6 tackles, 1 assist. Matt Jergenson 3 tackles and a fumble recovery. Justin Felton, Mitchell Meyer, Seth Kasten, Dylan Vick, Bryan Massman, Nick Schaller, Lyndon Becker, Peter Selness, and Kody Steele all contributed to the win on offense and defense.
The 8th graders hosted Fillmore Central Monday, September 25.
