Edna A. Schroeder
Edna A. Schroeder, 96, of Caledonia, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Caledonia Care and Rehab.
She was born December 24, 1910 in the town of Westfield, Reedsburg, Wis., to John and Augusta (Lichte) Meyer. On December 18, 1932, Edna married Rudolph Schroeder in Reedsburg. Together they farmed in Mayville and Winnebago townships, Houston County, Minn., for many years. On May 30, 1993, Rudolph preceded Edna in death. Edna was a member of St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in Caledonia where she served on the ladies aid.
Survivors include one daughter, Eleanor (Arnold) Kruckow of Caledonia; three sons, Kenneth Schroeder of Sparta, Wis.; John (Judy) Schroeder and Reuben (Kathy) Schroeder, both of Caledonia; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her husband, Edna was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Evelyn; two grandsons, Robert Schroeder and Gene Kruckow; two brothers, Paul and Otto Meyer; and two sisters, Esther Diersen and Helen Schluter.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, April 15 at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church, Caledonia. Rev. Jon Wolff will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia and from 1 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church, Caledonia, roof fund.
