SG/C softball team competes at Faribault tournament

The Spring Grove/Caledonia softball team traveled to Faribault on April 14 to compete in the Cardinal Classic Tournament. The girls lost their first game by one run, then went on to win the consolation bracket. The games were hosted by the Bethlehem Academy.

SG/C vs. United South Central
SG/C was down 7-0 and came back to score 4 runs in the fifth inning and four in the sixth to take a one-run lead over United South Central. USC answered with two runs, and SG/C was shut out the rest of the game, losing by a 9-8 score.

The next two wins came easily for the Lions, with an 11-1 win over Kasson-Mantorville and a 9-0 win over St. Agnes.
