Bonnie D. Dunnum

Bonnie D. Dunnum, 86, of La Crosse died Friday, March 30, 2007 at her home.

She was born September 27, 1920 in Dell, Wis., to Oscar and Fern (Miller) Clark. Bonnie was a 1938 graduate of Westby High School. On February 2, 1941, she married Lester Dunnum in Milwaukee, Wis. Together they owned and operated the Caledonia Hotel and Cafe, Caledonia, Minn.,İfrom 1948 until 1968. In 1969 they were divorced. Bonnie then was employed as a seamstress at Roth's Flor-Mart in La Crosse from 1965 until her retirement in 1983. She was a long-time member of Asbury Methodist Church in La Crosse and the Aidenn Chapter 86 Order of the Eastern Star of Caledonia, Minn.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald C. Dunnum of La Crosse and Ronald D. (Anita) Dunnum of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Glida Hankins of Readstown, Wis.; Josephine Norris of Onalaska, Wis.; and Anne (Clifford) Wells of Chino Valley, Ariz.; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Clark of Wilcox, Ariz.; and Rose Clark of Janesville, Wis.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, John, Alvin, Burl, and Philip Clark.

A private memorial service will be held on a later date at Woodruff-Jandt Funeral Home, La Crosse. Entombment will be in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery.
