City imposes parking restrictions on South Fifth Street during Houston County Fair
Persons attending the Houston County Fair in Caledonia will have a few less parking spots available along South Fifth Street. During Monday night's meeting, the Caledonia City Council agreed to restrict parking along the west side of Fifth Street from Main Street to Washington Street. "No parking" signs will be in place from Wednesday through Sunday. Violators will be towed away at the owner's expense. The council decided to restrict parking on the west side of Fifth Street after a homeowner living near the fairgrounds voiced concerns about pedestrian visability problems and traffic congestion.
