Spring Grove man killed in accident August 25
Jacob Onstad, 24, of Spring Grove, died of injuries sustained in a one-vehicle roll over early Saturday morning on Lower Dam Road north east of Decorah in Winneshiek County, Iowa.
According to the Winneshiek Sheriffís Department, Onstad was one of six passengers in a pickup that was northbound on Lower Dam Road.
The pickup, driven by Adam Konkel, 24, of Spring Grove, came too close to the west edge of the roadway, pulling the vehicle into the ditch, where it rolled over, ejecting Onstad. The accident was reported at 2:27 a.m. August 25.
Four persons were injured in the mishap and taken to Winneshiek Medical Center. They included James Wise, 24, of Spring Grove, Jeremy Wise, 21, of Spring Grove, Laura Moen, 21 of Spring Grove, and Miranda Peterson, 23 of Spring Grove.
