HOUSTON COUNTY ROAD CONDITIONS

Most County Roads are open for LOCAL TRAVEL ONLY however there are still a few closures. Difficult driving conditions exist and extreme care is needed when traveling on any local road. If conditions change, local roads may need to be re-closed.
Remember, when road clean up crews are present, the site is considered to be a construction zone and all traffic must slow down, proceed with caution and yield to public safety vehicles.
County 3 Open, but some mud and debris remains.
County 6 Road open and bridge 2.5 miles east of Winona County line at Forester Road is also open.
County 7 Two lanes open, but mud and debris remains.
County 9 Road is open but still has severe shoulder erosion and a short detour in one spot.
County 13 Oak Ridge Hill road closed for 1.4 miles.
County 18 Two lanes open. Mud and debris clean up in progress.
County 20 2 lanes of traffic open from Highway 44 north of Caledonia to 3/4 miles south of Highway 44. (Bridge out near the south end of road, closed indefinitely.)
County 21 Open from State Highway 16 to County 9, but still has severe shoulder erosion. Mud and debris remains.
County 22 Open, shoulder repair in progress.
County 25 Open but has soft shoulders and severe erosion.
County 26 Closed 1.5 miles east of State Highway 76. (Bridge closed)
County 26 One lane traffic at bridge 1/4 mile west of State Highway 76 (by Money Creek Haven). Road closed from Vinegar Hill Lane to the top of the hill.
Damage or road closure has been reported on 8/23/07, but not confirmed, on the following Township Roads:

Houston County will be continually assessing the condition of all rural roads and will make any necessary announcements as information becomes available.
