Flood relief volunteers can now register online
Persons looking for to volunteer to help with flood recovery efforts in Olmsted or Fillmore Counties (including the city of Rushford); or for projects with the American Red Cross ñ SE MN Chapter are now urged to register online at HYPERLINK "http://www.uwolmsted.org"
If persons cannot register online or discover they need assistance doing so, they can still call United Way of Olmsted County at 507-287-2004.
Volunteers are needed for the foreseeable future. Opportunities are updated as requests for volunteer assistance are received. People are reminded not to show up to volunteer without first registering to do so.
The response to the call for volunteer help has been tremendous. The United Way of Olmsted County offices received hundreds of calls on Monday and registered over 500 volunteers to fill the current requests from the city of Rushford. The requests are updated. The need for volunteers continues. Those who can register directly at www.uwolmsted.org are urged to do so.
