Robert Botcher
Robert H. Botcher, 85, of Houston, Minn., died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007 at Caledonia Care and Rehab.
He was born Feb. 5, 1922 in Money Creek township, Houston County, to John and Julia (Sheldon) Botcher. Robert graduated from Houston High School. He then attended one year of agricultural school at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. From January of 1944 until April of 1946, Robert served in the United States Navy in the South Pacific. After his military service, he farmed his entire life in Houston County, Minn.
Survivors include three brothers: John Botcher, Minneapolis; Ralph Botcher, Texas; and Jerry (Doris) Botcher of Houston, Minn.; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Hokah.
