Juanita Scanlan
Juanita Margaret Scanlan, 60, of Caledonia, died Dec. 15, 2007 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 2, 1947 in Caledonia to Pat and Ardelle (Lechtenberg) Hayes, Sr. Juanita was a 1964 graduate of Loretto High School and attended Winona Technical School. She married Jim Scanlan on Oct. 16, 1965 at St Nicholas Church in Freeburg, Minn.
Juanita is survived by her husband Jim and two children: Jim (Trina) Scanlan, Caledonia, and Julie (Ken) Privet, Caledonia; six grandchildren; six sisters and four brothers: Pat Hayes Jr., Waterloo, Iowa; Judy Hayes, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Carmen Hayes, Rochester, Minn.; Tim Hayes, St. Paul; Ginny (Bill) Mitchell, New Albin, Iowa; Colleen (Ed) Stellner, Onalaska, Wis.; Dana (Dean) Goetzinger, Rochester; Joe (Joni) Hayes, La Crescent, Minn.; Kevin Hayes; and Kelly (Bill) Schulte, Chanhassen, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her sister Jane Nelson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Holy Family Hall behind St. Mary's Church. Funeral services will be held at St.Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia, at 10:30 a.m., Dec. 20. Friends may call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church Thursday. Memorials are requested to go to St. Nicholas Cemetery fund and St. Mary's School.
