There was no calm before the storm for the Warrior girls basketball team this Friday night as they blew through the Fillmore Central Falcons, 81-48.
The Warriors led big for most, if not the entire game and were up by a sizeable 13 point margin at the intermission. They led 37-24 at the half.
The half-time adjustments meant extending that lead as they outscored the Falcons by 20 points in the second frame.
Led by Cassie Gran's 21 points, the Warriors improved their mark to 3-0 early in the 2007-08 campaign.
Aly Meyer chipped in with 18 points of her own and Libby AugeDahl added 10 points.
Guard Laquita Becker scored seven points, and Sarah Colleran followed up a solid performance from Tuesday night with a nine-point effort.
If the early season success the Warriors are having is any indication of what's to come, it will be a long, cold winter for their opponents.
Defeat Chatfield
They led by 14 at the break, and would eventually win by that same margin when the final buzzer sounded.
Caledonia defeated Chatfield, 59-35 in Three River Conference action on Tuesday. The Women Warriors led 35-21 at the half.
Paced by Libby Edahl's 12 points, the Warriors out matched Chatfield. They were 19 of 45 from the field, and shot 15 of 25 from the stripe.
Sarah Colleran added 11 points to the cause, and Cassie Gran also scored in double figures. She had 10 points.
Caledonia had 16 offensive rebounds in the win.
