Carol Heintz
Carol Ann Heintz, 74, of La Crosse and formerly of Viroqua, Wis., La Crescent, and Caledonia, died on Sunday, Feb. 18, at Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse.
She was born Jan. 7, 1933 in La Crosse to Robert and Esther (Kruse) Haar. On Sept. 25, 1950 she married Leslie C. Heintz in Caledonia. Carol and Les farmed for many years in the Caledonia area. She had also worked at the Garment Co. in La Crosse. After moving to La Crescent, Carol became a Home Health Aide. They moved to Viroqua in 2002.
Carol is survived by a daughter, Julie (Rick) Haley of House Springs, Mo.; two sons, Leslie "Butch" (Lisa) Heintz of La Crescent, and Dale (Renee) Heintz of Viroqua; eight grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Les on June 26, 2006; a son James Heintz; two granddaughters; and a sister, Phyllis Ideker.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Pastor Kathy Ingbritsen will officiate. Private family burial will be in Prince of Peace Cemetery in La Crescent. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, sign fund. Woodruff-Jandt Funeral Home in La Crosse is in charge of the arrangements.
