Helen Fink
Helen Fink, 75, of New Albin, Ia. died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at St. Maryís Hospital in Rochester Minn.
Helen was born in Spring Grove on February 1, 1932 to Alphy and Benora (Harstad) Solberg. She graduated from Spring Grove High School. She married Delbert (Bud)Ç Fink on July 6, 1951 at New Albin.
Helen was active in the Grace United Methodist Church and worked in the New Albin Savings Bank for 35 years. She was a member of the Kenneth Casey Post #5603 of the VFW Auxiliary and the Ladies Aide.
She is survived by two sons:Robert Fink, LaCrosse Wis., and Steve (Kristi) Fink of Marion Iowa; one granddaughter; nine siblings: Lyla Smith, Waukon Iowa; Naomi Solberg, Decorah, Iowa; Stanley (Carol) Solberg, St. Peter Minn.; Margaret (Orville) Flaten, Rockland Wis.; Paul (Carolyn) Solberg, Decorah; Rev. Robert (Judy) Solberg, Des Moines; Judy (Sylvan) Ashbacher, Lansing; David (Eileen) Solberg, Hiawatha Iowa; Donald Solberg, Caledonia; sisters in law: Patricia Solberg of LaCrescent; and Velma Mack of New Albin; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Delbert on June 29, 1996; two brothers, Charles and Alden Solberg; brothers-in-law Freeman and Harris Fink and Kenneth Smith and a sister-in-law Lorraine Fink.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 27, at Grace United Methodist Church in New Albin with Pastor Keith Putney officiating. Burial will be in the New Albin City Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the New Albin Community Center, and at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services.
