Gieser sentenced in child porn chase
Former Caledonia Elementary music teacher Craig Gieser, 49, was sentenced Monday to 120 days in jail for possession and distribution of child pornography. A 39-month prison sentence was stayed. He must also pay a $1,500 fine and court costs.
Gieser was arrested in May of 2005 after sending pornographic images of minors over the internet to a New Hampshire undercover officer posing as a 14-year old.
Gieser gave up his teaching certificate after his arrest. He has never been accused of inappropriate conduct with children.
