Charlotte Ernster
Charlotte S. Ernster, 90, of Caledonia, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Caledonia Care and Rehab.
She was born May 27, 1916 in Sheldon Township, Houston County, MN, to Edward and Ida (Halvorson) Schiebstad. In July of 1934 Charlotte married Joseph Ernster in Caledonia. Together they farmed on Houge Ridge and then Badger Valley, Sheldon Township, for many years. Joseph precededİher in death on December 31. Charlotte was a member of the Stone Church and then Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston.İ
Survivors include three children: Joanne (Bud) Fugleberg of Caledonia; Robert Gene (Donna) Ernster of Rochester; and Rose Marie (Lyle) Smith of Rushford; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister: Luella Todd of Houston; one brother, Hjalmer (Lucille) Schiebstad of Houston; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Schiebstad; and one brother-in-law, Robert Todd.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 13, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Houston. Rev. Louise E. Stromberg will officiate. Burial will be in Stone Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, is in charge of arrangements.
