Brownsville woman hurt in fatal collision

Jane Bjerke, 45, of Brownsville, was injured in a two-car accident that killed two people on Monday morning, January 15.
She was listed as in critical condition on the Minnesota State Patrolís website on January 16. Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester gave her condition as fair on January 16.
Her son, Joshua, 19, who was also in the vehicle, received minor injuries and was not hospitalized.
Bjerke was driving southbound in a 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport van on U.S. 52 at about 9:15 a.m. when a 1996 Ford van going northbound crossed the highway median and collided head-on with her.
The northbound vehicle burst into flames and was completely burned. The two people inside died. The driver was Salah Suleiman, 34, of Rochester. The passenger was Munin Sharif, 14, also of Rochester.
Roads were icy at the time of the accident, which occurred near Zumbrota.
